How do you clean a celluloid handled knife?

What type of oil can you use, if any, and will alchohol attack it?I hear mineral oil is bad.

I can't speak for oils, but at the bike shop we use clean streak white lightning, which is safe for rubber and such. I have used this a few times on some of my EDC SAKs with no ill effects; although on one it did seem to riun the 'polishedness' of the cellidor scales.
