How do you darken filework on titanium? My preference is to let the metal show through like a bluing, but Birchwood-Casey says their blueing does not work on TI, and their Perma Fin black is a solid black. It could be airbrushed on light, but is very permanent and has to be bead blasted off, thus I can't figure out how to put it on only in the file cuts. OR do others NOT "enhance" the filework?
Thanks

anodize it if you google "how to anodize ti with 9 volt batteries" youll find somthing its very easy you cn do it at home with a couple of square 9 volt batteries how many depends on the color some baking soda and coca cola a small paint brush and some wires with aligator clips whole setup might costs you 20 to 30 dollars but good part is you can use it over n over till batteries fade. results come out great ive done a number of benchmade balisongs for people.

the way im talking about you dont have to dip the knife you can aplly it only where you want it yu can mask the parts you want untouced with masking tape if needed. trust me results are pretty amazing and very cheap heres some i did .....

Do you have to scrub/sand any finish off of the Benchmade first?

no....well i did sand the titanium and brought it to a fairly nice shine with a sanding block... doesnt have to be a mirror finish just to a fairly nice shine.....then i just whiped he knife down with a paint thinner or just alcohol to remove any finger prints... theres this way as well but i feel the electricity way is more consistant http://www.balisonginfo.com/tipstricks/heatanodizing.html
