How Do You Decide To Tote Your SAK.

After losing several SAK's out of my pocket, I have gone to a 18" lanyard. I got an 1/8" bungie type cord from REI, and carry my OH on it in my front right pocket, for at least the last 13 years. Still have the same knife and find I can do about 95% of what I need to with the lanyard around my belt. I use a loop at the end, that I run the OH back thru, then if I need to take it off the belt, I do not have to open my belt to do it. John

I carry my saks in various nylon pouches. Got the idea from the cadet 5 colour series that came out in 2012 (although the series used leather pouches). I find that nylon's light, durable and keeps other items in my pocket from scratching (or being scratched up by) my sak edc. One of my favourite edc combos is a single AAA flashlight and a Vic Cadet in a Victorinox cordura belt pouch. I opt to just slip it in my right front pocket as opposed to carrying it on my belt.

I always carry a little one (manager, classic, etc.) on the keychain, so I am never ever without one.

If I carry another SAK, it tends to be in my pocket or in the extra slot of my MT leather/nylon sheath. But the keychain one is always there!

Can you post a picture of the pouch or a link to find a view of it?

One and two layer saks go in the pocket. Three or more layers go in a pouch or some sort of outside carry bag.

I am not a big fan of belt pouches, and for that reason I always steered clear of the 111mm SAK's for EDC. Even the 2 layer ones are too bulky for me to carry in a pocket.

But, I recently saw a positive review of the Victorinox belt clip. It works surprisingly well. I can dangle this 3 layer Forester in the LFP by clipping it to a belt or even the waistband of a pair of shorts. The key is to adjust the paracord length that the knife hangs vertically in the pocket. It is still early days, but it seems quite comfortable. I will test-drive this setup some more over the coming holidays.
