How do you display your collection??

30 Randals!?! Holy crap! I would LOVE to see that many in one place.

Mine are all put into a desk drawer in a very neat fashion. I plan on getting a display case with a soft foam back with a glass front to display.

Yeah, I get that reaction a lot. Like I said, it's very impressive. Some BIG knives there, too - a Thorp (13"), Confederate (11"), three 12-9s (9"), two 12-8s (8"), and a whole boatload of smaller things with only 6" and 7" blades. I can't post photos or I would.

I make displays stands out of wood and various antler and ivory materials for all my knives. Some are displayed singularly and others are displayed together in themes. Here's an example below of a Fisk Upgrade Military and a NLT Sendero displayed together since they both have ivory handles which came from the same mammoth tusk. Behind you will a Fisk hunter display made up of engraved damascus Gamemaster and Sendero. Then there's a rare Fisk ivory Boot Knife with a silver boot sheath. Sorry for the poor photo.

Here's a few Bowie's displayed (Dean, Dunn, Fisk) with stands covered by acrylic security cubes which also offer ultra-violet ray filter.

I actually built this when I was a kid. It is where I display the knives I don't have stored or don't have on me. The thing on the side is a sword I carved from an old peice of wood when I was a kid. I keep it in my office and have actually gotten a lot of nice comments on it. The big knife hanging off the side is a Rambo knockoff I got from my parents when I was a kid. I told them I wanted a Rambo knife and they gave me that thing. I have never used it. I think it might break if I took it out of the sheath. As a kid though I thought it was the most amazing knife ever.

First - many thanks to all who responded. Your input is helpful and appreciated. A few specific comments - -
David - if you don't make & sell display cases, you should. Great display case
Kevin - I checked out 'dorriswood' - beautiful, but expensive
Samael - You MUST post a picture of the 30 Randall's - everyone is waiting with baited breath!!
Kevin - WOW!!
Whitty - cute wow! I still have some 'childhood' treasures (I'm 62) and am equally proud and fond of them.

I am ashamed of a soceity where so many answers were "keep 'em locked up". But, I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth metromess - so I do understand. I have converted a closet in my house into a gun safe complete with steel door
& dead bolts. And, when I was a kid 50 years ago, folks kept their guns in a display case in the front hall so they could proudly show them off. Times change.

I will hang mine in individule glass display cases in my hobby room. That way, when I leave town, I can take them down and store them in my gun closet.

Again, many thanks to all who have responded. Your answers have shown me what's right for me.

Samael - we're waiting!!!

I hope Spiral finds this thread and posts his "room o' khukuris" pics... the method isn't fancy, but the sheer volume of large curved blades covering the walls is worth viewing.

I've considered some manner of display for some of my larger blades myself, but space is a bit of an issue currently, and I'm not much of a handyman. :(

Please don't yell at me but the truth is I need to see my knives and I have ~100 hanging on my bed room wall. :D

I had this arrangement when I met my wife and she likes it to. I don't even use pegs. One nail and heavy string. I love the way they they look and I am never coming back to this thread, so keep any OMG comments to your self .

PS I bet I'm not the only one.

My wife collects several goodies, including Harmony Kingdom boxes. We bought different sized display cabinets, usually with a dropped brand's name on them somewhere, from the various stores - most of which are now closed. I lucked into one she outgrew. It's over six feet tall, hex-sided, upper half glassed with two glass shelves and a mirrored bottom. The top has a pair of LV Halogen lamps. The bottom half of the cabinet is laminate covered OSB and has a locking door like the top - with the same key. I have many of my knives on Buck clear plastic stands, too. The picture below is a bit busy - I'll try to get an overall shot. I keep other knives, sheaths, & boxes locked in the bottom. Just a suggestion.
