No they're not 60 minutes or anything like that, but in a world where the common strategy to the Islamofascists is to appease I could easily see a commentary like that being used as a minor source for a larger complaint. After all, the way to get along with extremist wackos is to just understand that they're passionate in their beliefs, and in a world where so many people don't know what to believe shouldn't we have understanding for those who have a firm grip on what they're doing?

Groups like this- with a specific agenda- almost always act the same. They shout their beliefs loudly and expect compliance. If/when you don't give them that, then they try to shame you for not being accomodating. Then if THAT doesn't work, they just write you off as a hate-mongering monster. Your opinion no longer counts because YOU no longer count. Not that your opinion mattered much to them anyway, you just didn't nod like the sheep you're supposed to be.

We have to take a long view with people who have strong beliefs. People of faith have a long-term view of things. If we only think in terms of the short-term victories, then we leave ourselves open to being taken by surprise later on.

SORRY FOR THE POLITICY RESPONSE

I like the name. Not the knife really, but I do like the name.

whatever.

if they dont like the US perhaps a islamic utopia like iran would be better??

The name MAY be offensive to some American Muslims. Like the flying of the confederate battle flag that annoys so many Black Americans, I cannot for the life of me figure out why we in the American majority (white folks) want to insult our fellow American citizens.

The Confederate Battle Flag is as neutral a thing as the name Infidel. Its all in what you bring to it. As for why people would want to offend their fellow Americans, well there ARE 300-million+ Americans you know. I've never seen a room full of 20 people be able to come to a complete agreement on where to go for dinner, let alone 300-MILLION people agree on what's offensive.

We live in a great country. What most people don't seem to understand these days, is that MY rights do not depend upon THEIR comfort in my having them. Such are people who run sites like the altmuslim.com.
