how do you grind your knives?

im wanting to know who of you does your plunge grinds on the flat platen and who on the drive wheel. it seems a lot of makers use the drive wheel for these grinds which i do for hollow grinding but for all else i use the platen. whats your experiences with both and whats easiest for you? im trying to find new ways to improve my own techniques with these grinds so any thoughts or tips would be appreciated..thanks justin
