HOw do you guys carry your small fixed blades???

My Barkie Blackwater Boot knife is such a great little fixed blade. The kydex sheath that came with it is slim enough that if you take the clip off it fits nicely right in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. I've also carried it that way in the right front jeans pocket very comfortably several times.

Cheers,
jon

I'm looking at a small fixed blade knife like the BM 210/211 or a BRKT micro and am curious how you guys carry these? I'm in Ohio so concealed carry is illegal, so some of knife must be visible. That being said, I'd still like a little discretion. Are there slim pocket sheaths with clips for pocket carry?

TIA
Dave

Well some boot knifes feature clips, but that may not be, what you are looking for. To much of the knife is visible.

I like to carry a small fixed blade cliped into the pocket too. You can do it yourself or get a custom sheath. Clips are to get in many variations.

Well, this may be helpful to you:

Blop,

Thanks for the link, that is exactly what I'm looking for:thumbup:. It looks like i'll send the knife out once it gets here ,and have one made up.

Thanks
Dave

Seems like pocket carried fixed blades are really up to date. :D If we call them pc-fb, we might get misunderstood. :D

I like a horizontal sheath (usually kydex) just to the left of my belt buckle. Bob Dozier's sheaths are magic for this, and I have made similar sheaths for my Mikro Canadian and my BM Snody 211.

I hate Ohio laws. I have a concealed carry license and can carry a concealed gun but I can't carry a concealed knife? Someone explain the logic behind that?

I'm fairly sure that's false. Ohio is a shall-issue state, is it not? Or does that only apply to firearms?

The concealed carry license in Ohio doesn't specifically allow you to conceal a knife. Ohio knife laws are very unclear. It all comes down to weather the cop arresting you considers a knife a deadly weapon.

Carrying a concealed deadly weapon other than a handgun is a no no. Carrying a concealed tool isn't really covered...

Well I just ordered a BRKT Mini Canadian, so I guess my next step would be having a sheath made up with a pocket clip. Does anyone have any recommendation's as to who can do the work? and an approx. cost? or is there a sheath readily available that would work?

TIA
Dave

The BM 210 has a kydex sheath option. You can neck it. The holes are spaced to fit a Tek-Loc, [size small I think], and will carry horizontal on your belt as well.

This site lists some pocket clip sheaths for the Mini Canadian. I don't see pricing though:
