How do you guys like CTS-XHP?

I'm no expert, but I really like it on my Spyderco Native. Definitely a good user steel in that it isn't a pain to sharpen. It takes a really nice sharp edge even with my mediocre skills, and holds it well through various uses. Haven't taken it on the boat yet, but it sat through a sweaty day of skiing and came out clean as a whistle. Good stuff, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to get another knife in XHP.

I understand why the literature describes it as a "stainless D2" from a chemistry standpoint, but that's a really misleading and unfortunate comparison

Isn't CPM D2 the same when it comes to advantages over regular D2? Are you describing the smaller grain structure from the powder process Carpenter uses?
