How do you like brkt aurora for bushcraft

I love my Aurora, it does most everything I need and then some. I swapped out a bravo 1 for it and do not regret it. I like the weight and balance and it blazes thru fish like a hot knife thru butter.

I like the Aurora a lot. It's a no compromise bushcraft knife. Cleaning fish would work well for everything except filleting. For that you'd want a thinner blade. Enjoy!

I found the Aurora to be a very efficient bushcraft knife.

Mike, that bottom pic looks very artsy. I really, really like it!

I've played around with one quite a bit, good blades. The only thing that turned me off was the handle design. In trying to accommodate all tasks, the swell is moved back. But your hand wants to choke up almost all the time, and then the swell is in the wrong place.

But if it works for you, it's the tops. Plus I've never heard a single person say they felt they were lacking anything as far as its bushcraft capabilities.

Since I got one around Easter, I have not bought any knives. I have no particular plans to buy knives anymore.

So watch out, it could ruin you!

I agree with IH8U, the last picture looks like it was done in a studio. Nice photography!

I also agree. Great shot Big Mike!! It looks like the axe is coming out of the picture towards you.

Thanks guys,

..its my passion for nature and the woods that has driven me to develop my skills in both photography and knife making.

man, i need to get a barkie....

Definitely get one. Hey, they have a bunch of them on the exchange for decent prices right now...I should know :D

They are sharp, have a great warranty, lots of variety to choose from. Doesn't get much better than that!

IMO it's the perfect bushcraft knife. For me the handle is shaped perfectly. Not good, not good enough, perfect. The blade is long enough without being too long.

All I have is the stock pic, but. . .

The Aurora has become my primary use bush blade. I swap back and forth with the Fox River depending on circumstances, usually just when the FR's smaller size makes for better carry.

What he said. For me the handle is a bit long and the swell a bit too far back.
Would be perfect for anyone with a large hand IMO though.
