How do you like your Sar3?

I like mine. Especially since it's I guess one of a kind - only around 0.15" thick (noticeably thinner than my bjle) :D :)

Love it ! Carry it most everyday.

I've had a black micarta, red/black G-10 and a couple of black papers.

Sold all but one of the black papers, so I could keep one. Hope I don't loose it !

I like mine. I keep it in a kydex sheath and stick it in my pocket. I was lucky that the previous owner had already re-profiled the edge. Some of them were ground pretty thick. I think would like a game warden better, but the sar3 is pretty nice.

my favorite skinner. I have used it for many deer and hoggs. It has never let me down. It is always with me on every hunt

I prefer to EDC one of my thin (.14) GWs here at work and around town, but like others here I'll pocket a SAR-3 on the weekends for use in the garden and the woods. I also keep a Culti in my work bag day to day for food prep. And I carry a Lep Active Duty in a pocket of my flight suit when flying missions with the military.

Honestly, I love it as I love all my Busse children, but I favor my Vex for almost all chores the SAR-3 does. I can't EDC a fixed blade, so its smaller size doesn't help. Mine never gets much use, so sadly I might let it go. ***sighhhhh*** but I do love it.... :D

Actually, I'm starting to think about getting rid of my two SAR-3s (not looking for buyers here) because I find the handles of my GWs and ADs feel much more comfortable and provide a more natural grip, at least for me - for others it obviously may vary. I tried very hard to get used to the grip of the SAR-3, because I'm a big fan of the other SARs - the 4, the 8, and especially the 6, and thought it'd be nice to carry a matched set. However, it's usually a GW, a BAD, or a Culti that usually accompanies my 6s whenever I hit the trail, and my in-town EDC is almost always a GW along with a SAK. Any one else have a problem with the SAR-3 or am I alone in this?
Best to All,
"Bloody Bill"

Mine has been banned and steelnut made a sick kydex sheath for it that I keep on my Maxpedition gearslinger--it's a keeper to say the least.

I like mine a lot.

I had a few, but weened myself down to one.

I like it a lot more since I got it back from Busse. The grind on mine seemed a bit funky, so I sent it back for them to check it out, and it came back a different, better knife.

Check it out next to my dearly departed LE, and they used to be the same...

The same happened to my sar3. Originaly the grind was far from perfect, so the knife was sent to Busse Combat and came back a lot thinner and with much better grind.

I had the same problem but I actually liked the thicker blade. I sent mine back with a note asking them to "just sharpen it". Well when I got it back it was the thinner blade :(. Now I wished I had just kept it and sent it off to have somebody else sharpen it. They maybe would've read the note. And to be fair I probably would've been okay wih the thinner blade but having seen and felt the balance of the thinker blade I just wanted that one. I just wanted Busse to make "it" right. That particualar one right soba sharper edge. Well I was bummed because of all the shipping and waiting and I reallly wanted to call Jerry. Was just too much at that point since I had bought and sent back a handful of others. I had sent the note specifically asking for it to be sharpened and that's all. Sosartre a while I stuck it my closet for a few weeks hopein to pull it out in a year or so and be happy with it. Jist kept bugging me and eventually I just sold the knife. I just wasn't happy with the whole process. And what's bad is that I reallly, really wanted that knife for EDC. I'm still kinda bummed about it but I still want a SAR3. Kind of a weird feeling...

I love mine, it's a keeper. I've also owned and carried extensively an AD, GW, Culti, AS and probably one or two I can't remember now.
