I take equal amounts of dry red Italian wine and fresh water, a few Cinnamon sticks, combine in a pot and bring to a slight boil, reduce the heat, then add sugar until desired sweetness is achieved, drink hot.

What'll you all be drinking and how do you make it.

BTW just to add some knife content, I'll be using my French Laguiole folder to slice up limes for the Tequila Shooters.
Edited to wish everyone as good of a holiday as you can stand.

1. Open Jack Daniels.

2. Pour.

3. Drink.

Find glass, open fridge, find Crown Royal, pour, drink

Stare at the Vermouth while pouring the Gin.

With Rememberance for those gone and Fondness for those still here.

After my recent stay in Tennessee, it's all about the Jack. The whiskey of Kings.

A very liberal dose of Jack over crushed ice. . .and a coke back. :D

And Heineken always works !

Jack and Heineken together. . .:barf: ;)

Usually I just open a good beer and enjoy.
During this time of year though my lady and I will enjoy a Rum and eggnog or rum and apple cider.
Cold Drink
Fill large tumbler with ice. Pour in about 4 shots of Captian Morgans Spiced Rum, Private stock. Fill the rest of the tumbler with eggnog, pour a little nutmeg on top, stir well and enjoy.
Hot Drink
For the cider and Captian morgans, we warm the cider on the stove with cinnamon sticks in the pot also. When warmed to temp add the Captn, stir and drink.:D

Cheers All, I hope you ALL have a wonderful Christmas. Be well!!;)

Cuba Libre-
Black Seal Rum
Diet Coke (yeah, I know)
Fresh squeezed lime juice

Being a Seventh Day Adventist, I am not supposed to drink at all.

However, if I were ever to imbibe such a refreshing drink, I would insist that it be made from all natural ingredients. And then heated for purity, and tested.

For example, cacti are natural. They sit in the sun for heat, so I imagine they are pure. If a nectur would happen to be made from the juice of these cacti, and a grub was thrown into it to prevent the accidental poisoning by fusil oil, then I would consider THAT type of drink to be okay. With ice, a lime and coarse grain salt, for flavor of course.

And I still don't approve of this, if asked.;)

Hungarian Rum and Coke

Take a tall glass of ice, add Spiced Rum,(preferably the Captain) to within an inch of the top, then hold a bottle of Coke behind the glass to add color.

mumbleypeg - now THAT's a dry martini.

A little Johnny Walker Black Label and Nat King Cole singing "The Christmas Song" late at night while I relax in front of the Christmas tree..

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays to everyone. Thanks to all the knife knuts for being some or all of the following on a daily basis: informed, entertaining, helpful, argumentative, hilarious, patient and all that other stuff that makes this place the best stop on the internet.

Since the subject of "Spice Rum" is up for discussion. . . I stumbled on this one this summer.

Tall glass of sweet ice tea and a shot or two of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.

Very nice ! :)

I see this thread closing as OT soon, so here goes.

1. Get whiskey tumbler.

2. Crush 2-3 ice cubes and place in tumbler.

3. Pour in two fingers of Jack Daniel black label or George Dickel brown label.

4. Consume.

5. Repeat if necessary.

Happy holidays!!!

I'm surprised that nobody said vodka yet, anyway, I'll be the first one. For me it's usually Finlandia or Smirnoff, but this time it's gonna be the best one - Grey Goose!
