How do you pack your hawks...?

Sorry for the long response lag. No, it is not actually my BOB. It is my school bag. When I take it to school. Every day I expect faculty or some sheeple student to say something. I guess it is post graduate, so we aren't kids anymore. Of course, I don't ever have the Trail master or the hawk strapped to it. I usually leave that push knife on it just where it is, and carry a folder on my person. No one has ever commented on that push knife on the bag before in the years I have had it strapped there.

I have a larger bag for a BOB

I know this is an old thread but...

Send some of those bad boys my way, Vec!

No I don't have a pic. But if I were going to do it again I would get the PS (the larger one). The compression straps work really well if you have a small load but it is big enough (2800 cu in) for a overnight.

Thats what I was thinking, but from all the reviews I've read, the straps on your pack are far more comfortable. I'm willing to sacrifice some space for a comfortable pack since this isn't going to be a massive hiking rig. How do you like your straps (especially with the extra weight you've added with the pouches and hatchet) and how much "stuff" can you fit in the main compartment with the bladder filled.

Stage- The pack is the most comfortable I have ever used (and if you saw my basement that would mean something). The only thing that I don't like is that if you are wearing the waste belt it is hard to wear anything on your belt, unless it is dropped a bit. I pack a lot of crap in it. I have had it at 40+ lbs and was still comfy. I haven't had any problems with the bladder taking up room like in my camelbaks. I will get some pics ASAP. I really like this pack I think I "found" my pack. Now when the Victory comes out I will have to get one.
