Sure! Click on the profile picture of whoever you want to message (in the thread), this pop-up will come up; Click the 'send message' link and it'll give you a screen to send your messages.

If you are at someone's profile page, click on the 'Information' tab, and at the bottom will be the 'Send Message' link.

The next screen is basically like starting a new thread, just at one person in particular.
 
I do not have a send message option anywhere? My screen shots looks just the same as yours, just no option for send message... Can anyone help me?
