How do you pronounce "choil" ???

I'm not a 100% sure, but any time ch is the beginning of a word, it will always be a chop sound or a K sound as in chromium.

How about chauvinistic - is that cho-vanistic or ko-vanistic?

Specifically, in the first syllable, the "a" is pronounced as you would the "a" in "father".

I say it similar to Torz but I pronounce the 2nd h and the e at the end. Being a gentleman, I do not say it at all in polite company.
