How do you reinstall the spring on a BM barrage?

I'll take a guess: did you loosen the pivot to much, then all of a sudden thwap... no more spring?

A lot of patience. Odds are you will have to take the thumb stud of to set it in properly; this will allow you to push the blade past a certain point out. Its hard to describe, but you will know when it is set in right. It took me an hour or so to re-install. Just don't look any pieces. The extra locking feature can be a little troublesome as well.

Once I put it back together though. It actually fired harder than before.

If it's anything like the mini barrage you have to remove the thumb studs and have the blade point slightly upwards while you set the spring in its "notch". Once you have the pivot screwed in, you can put tension on it.

Edit: this is when reassembling after taking the knife apart completely.
