How do you rotate your carry?

Do you change what you're packing after a new purchase comes? I've been carrying my 0300 every day since I got it. I's a very comfortable knife. By Saturday, I should have a MT Combat Troodon d/e and I know that will displace the 0300. I have taken to carrying an OTF around the house, but when I leave, the UT or stiletto gets swapped for something legit.

How do you rotate your load? Do you have a dedicated Friday or church knife?
How does your carry change when you go out or come home?

My 0300 has been with me since I got it also. Great knife.
Usually, when I get something new (if it's EDC appropriate), it goes into the pocket and bumps out whatever had been there before. That is, unless it's dissimilar enough to "justify" carrying the new one in addition. Like now, the 0300 and the Para are both with me.
Looking to get a Skirmish, and I don't doubt that will bump the 0300 out for a bit.

not to sound too fruity or anything, but it really depends on what the day's chores and clothes are.

Yard work = Case Sodbuster, Buck 301, Schrade Old Timer, etc
Jeans/Shorts = Plain Sebenza, BM 940, Caly 3, Buck Vantage Pro, etc. etc.
Slacks = Sm LE Sebenza, BM 440, Klotzli Sarra, etc. etc.
Suit & Tie = haven't figured that out yet....Mnandi maybe?

This gives me the idea that I can always find an occasion to suit the knife I want.

I always have a knife that I use as a money clip in a pocket and my favorite knife clipped to my front right pocket (a BM Rift). I will bring a new knife or rotate through my other EDCs and carry them IWB. Yeah its a little overboard but I always have a backup and have a knife that I am used to and know it can handle a lot.

It's a real bugger, trying to be fair to my edc knives. :p

Most week days it's either a FRN Stretch or Para, and a HK 14205
Weekends, a Lg Sebenza or CF Stretch.

When walking the dog a Emerson CQC 10 or A100

I have a Fallkniven U2 in my keyring that goes everywhere, anytime.

If I plan on going beyond the "50" signs, leaving the asphalt, I bring an F1, a WM1 and a folding saw. In my car I have more knives and tools.

The only time I did not carry a knife was in London. They are totally nuts on security over there. In one week I was patted down twice. Do people use their teeth to open boxes in that country?

The only time I have been "liberated" from my EDC was when I had a PST in my belt and visited a club in Drammen, Norway. I got it back when I left though.

Black Gold Leek for Social Events, Work, when I dressed nicer.
Delica Waved for Travel.

Those are my only two really designated knives for specific
functions. Other than that I just take a look at my collection
and see which one appeals to me most that day.

Always have a SAK on me (Tinker, Cadet or Old Soldier) as well as one of these depending on circumstances or what I feel like:

1. Endura
2. Delica
3. Blur
4. OD-1
5. Tenacious
6. Buck 110

I know nothing special but don't feel knife poor.

I normally like to immediately carry a new knife to break it in. However, when in a hurry, I automatically default to either my A-100 or my CQC-10 Emersons.

I don't really rotate my carry all that much. I pick an edc and carry it for a few years then get a new one. I might add others as needed ie, add a necker when I visit my buddies downtown, or carry a serrated knife when fishing etc. My EDc is carried ED.

When I get a new knife, usually the first thing I do is sharpen it. This often includes changing the edge angle.
Then I usually carry it every day for a few weeks until I get the feel of it. I want to know what it does well, what it does not do well, how well it maintains an edge in my daily use, and how its general performance compares to other similar knives I have carried.
If the blade is of a steel I have not used, I may take the hardness and may do some manila rope cutting comparisons.

I used to rotate my CQC7, D2 P Mil and my Metro Razor. Now I edc my P Mil. My incoming Haney Renegade will bump the P Mil. It's just soo BAD!! :D

I have 6 knives in my EDC rotation, and in the morning, I just grab whatever strikes my fancy at the moment and call it good! :p

I tend to like specific size EDCs and while I favor the Para D2, I switch between 3 or so depending on which is sharpest.

I usually rotate out between six different knives every couple of weeks or so, but my Military just doesn't want to leave my pocket. It has been my EDC work knife for the past two months.

How do you rotate . . . Do you have a dedicated . . . church knife?

I can barely go for more than a couple of days without rotating to something new. Military SE > Paramilitary SE > Delica SE > Stainless Police SE . . . . Its whatever floats my boat. We just took a mini vaycay to Gatlinburg TN and I took the Police and Delica so I could rotate. I have an orange Military PE in my pocket now.

Sometimes I go with a Schrade (USA) LB7 in a belt sheath. Those babies are awesome, and can almost double as a prybar. But its just not space efficient, as a Peanut will handle the vast majority of my cutting chores just as well as a big LB7.

I always carry also a Victorinox Explorer Plus. I have tried going without it, but I am always finding a reason to use the magnifying glass or other tools. I could get by fine with just the SAK and no folder, but thats no fun. And I like the fast deployment of a folder.

On church days I go with a clipless knife like a Sodbuster Jr. or Fallkniven U2. The chicks deserve to see my smooth exterior lines without the distraction of a clip. The SAK goes with me, and there is a multitool in my church man bag.

Always my Skeletool and one of three favorite folders: BM 806, 610, Endura waved, and one of three favorite fixed: Streetbeat, RAT-3, Greco bootknife. Everyday.....

My favorite and normal EDC is a SOG X-42 mid-lockback with Autoclip. I love the Autoclip, it's got a roller to tighten or loosen the clip, so works well with just about any pants or pockets. BG-42 steel at 60 Rc tanto blade-- a great all-round cutter. If wearing jeans I'll usually put a 3-1/2" slippie in the change pocket as well. On Sundays I take a smaller pearl stockman-- purtier and smoother!
