How do you say Busse??

I'm still puzzled by the surname Nguyen.

People actually make that one harder than it is. It's pronounced win, like one wins a a game.

Based on my experiences with similar names, I'd pronounce that Ing-yen.

See, this is the problem, I've heard several sources give a different pronunciation... one guy who had the surname pronounced it "Noo-yen", and when a comrade was in touch with another Nguyen, they had a different pronunciation. And of course there's Ing-yen... I'm stumped!

I've also heard "nwen".

Knew a gal with the surname Ng.... pronounced "Ng"... not "Ing".

A good friend of mine years ago with last name Busse we always just called him Busse pronounced Bus-e. FWIW that's how I pronounce it.
