• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

how do you Sharpen a kukri?

I've used both a Spyderco 204 and currently I use my EdgePro Apex. Handles all the curves and gives a fantastic edge. If you haven't already post this in one of the two Khukri Forums. You'll get lots of answers there. Hope this helps.

There are only two types of people; those who understand this, and those who think they do.

I would avoid the Lansky or Sharpmaker and just hand sharpen it with a DMT so you can try to maintain its convex edge as much as possible. The other systems will work but will flatten your bevel.

Also learn how to burnish the blade well, you'll find that it will require less sharpening. For further information, check the Himalayan Imports Forum.

Clff Stamp wrote a detailed treatise on sharpening a khukuri which can be found here, with good suggestions from Yvsa.
