How do you sharpen nail cutters?

sharpen it like you would sharpen a chisel.....but on bolth sides.

Isn't the sharpmaker supposed to be able to do it?

I always have cheap throw away ones and never even tried sharpening one before.

I have used round or oval stones. I just run them parallel to the blades (when closed.)

W/D sand paper (#600) on the inside burrs. just roll the paper up. (like a cig.)and run it along the inside.
