How do you sharpen your Lite Machete ?

Nah--just took a thin layer off of my middle finger (first knuckle) and the tip of my thumb. The middle finger was a bleeder, but the thumb is just way sensitive to touch or temperature. You know the kind. :D

Many ways to do the job... some probably faster than other.. I like the belt sander idea (way to many machete, and i have a lot of time in the wild so a belt sander would be great). Second, I didnt use my files on any of my lite machete, condor, cold steel, etc.. yet.. wasnt sure if it would mess up my convexed ones.. I got only a few items for sharpening.. and can't really find 1 place to put a belt sander in the actual place where i live right now.. too much stuff all around and no garage.

I have a spyderco sharpmaker, a few files, the lil blue rod that came with my rat pack pouch, I have KSF double sided leather hone with green and black compound. thats pretty much it.. with those tools.. what do you suggest me to be my actual best choice without spending more ?

right now i've been using sandpaper/mousepad. when i really trash the edge, i'll sharpen with a file or coarse diamond stone,(to get the dings out) then maybe finish with the mousepad and some 800 grit. that's how i sharpen my tram, and it works just fine.
