How do you store your collection?

I think that the better ones would just be two blocks of carbon fiber, g10, or delrin surrounded by large, orange blobs.

I keep my small folders and neck knives mounted on the wall with a magnetic knife holder like you see in carpentry workshops and chefs kitchens. Keeps them readily accessible and makes for an attractive display.

My larger fixed blades are kept in a clear plastic organizing set of drawers that I picked up at an office supply store. It's mounted on wheels and has clear plastic drawers so that I can see the boxes. It's great for organizing my collection and keeping the sharpening equipment right beside the blades.

Axes, big choppers and other sharp tools like ice axes and ice screws are kept in two wooden M81 artillery round cases that I got at a surplus store. My BOB's and other rescue equipment are also stored in similar containers.

I keep most of my knives in a safe. Others are in drawers or laying around in my room, gotta leave some out to fondle. If I am transporting knives I just use a backpack, and depending if I am trying to keep them mint I will stuff them individually in thick wool socks.
