How do you store your fixed blades?

Not in a sheath if the sheath is leather. Lightly oiled with mineral oil, of course.

Other than collector stuff, any spot will do where they won't get lost and aren't exposed to moisture. Don't store fixed blades in a leather sheath. I have a couple lying on my desk that are in their leather sheaths, but I handle them a fair amount and wipe them down with RemOil every couple of weeks if they have not been used.

meh, my SOG NW Ranger in AUS6 sat in its sheath for well over a year with only some light surface rust. A blue scotchbrite and oil and it was gone.

How about a heavy coat of mineral oil on the blade so it gets on the inside of the leather sheath as well?

I hang them and also use extra large handgun cases and rifle cases to store them
