How do you store your knifes?

Ok, I'm starting to get quite the collection of folding knives. Currently I just keep them in a dresser. How do you keep and display your collection?

I would enjoy displaying a couple of fixed blades, but they go out about as quickly as they come in. I don't use 'em; I just like 'em.
Also, I'm not sure how a glass-topped display case could best be wall-mounted. It would be pretty large in order to show greater than six fixed blades or so.
I'm not interested in showing folders in that manner, as I find the blade-steels and fancy wooden grips of fixed blades to be much more visually appealing. IMO, of course.

Spyderco's large case.....Used to have a glass case that was the size of a coffee table, but I "thinned the herd" and got rid of it due to the size.

I don't have a display for my knives. Desk drawer for those in the current carry pool, stored in their boxes on a shelf for those that aren't. Perhaps some day I'll figure out a better system. :)

I store mine in boxes like this:

I don't display any of my knives, most of the people I know don't have that much interest in them.
I store them in a few drawers using 0-6 mos. baby socks works awesome,or I use bubble wrap taped(clear shipping tape) so that it forms a pouch you can customize the size you need ,I have been using these 2 forms of storage for about 5 yrs. with no problems, plus both are super cheap.

If all else fails I just store them in my pocket :D

my safe queens stay in the box or original pkg.

I too use Spyderco's large zipper cases for all my knives. Each knife I own rests comfortably in it's own case. And the cases are stored in a dedicated bureau in my special room.

In Velcro backed pouches affixed to the inside of my gun safe door. They each hold a dozen knives.

I store them in the Case knife rolls that hold 16 knives in each one, the knit fabric has a protectant impregnated in the material. I also have several 60 knife rolls from Smoky Mountain Knives that has elastic bands to keep the knives retained without being in contact with its neighbors. With 7 granddaughters and upcoming great granddaughters I don't want any thing to happen that can be avoided with some common sense.

Pelican 1400 for modern knives, a 3-drawer metal tool chest for traditionals.

I know that the Pelican case is amazing quality, but it's a bit over the top for me. I don't travel, so my knives are always at home with me...in the safe.

I'm surprised more of you do not store them in a Gun Safe. With all the thieves running around, I never feel entirely confident that valuables are secure unless they're in a safe.
