  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

How do you store your knifes?

A major thank you Whetstone39 for posting the hickory hill roll info:thumbup: ! I have one currently and never was able to find a source for additional rolls and had to settle for some other lesser rolls not quite as well made. Have a very merry holiday season..

On topic: I use a pelican laptop case that I like becuase I don't have to pluck the foam to addapt to my ever changing accumulation.

Off topic: I am really jealous I don't have a 'special room'

I use a spyderco spyderpac large case for folders, its very portable and protects the knives well. I keep my fixed blades in a duffle bag in my closet but I dont display anything, im not a fan of displaying things.

In Kershaw, ZT, and PVK black zip-up bags and small Spyderpacs in Rubbermaid storage bins. I would love to build a coffee table with a locking drawer and glass top to display my favorites.

I keep a number of my knives in a drawer at my drafting table, stored safely. I keep a few Italian Stilettos in a moderate display case. Since it's a danger to carry switches, I display some because I enjoy looking at them. Some others I'll keep in the drawer.

Desk drawer, a couple or four on the nightstand, a couple of utility users in the tool box.

I store and "display" the ones I am not using in a rubbermaid tub (this includes customs). At least I know where to find them if I want to fondle one. Knives that have no boxes or other case, are often stored inside socks that have been taken out of the using rotation. The knives I use or are likely to use are on a shelf in a metal cabinet which contains much of my 22 ammunition.

If I were to display some of my knives, I'd probably pick up a couple aluminum cases that are often used to display firearms at gunshows. I believe most of these have plexi-glass or glass tops. I have little interest in this. I seldom even take pictures of my knives although I do play around with the camera from time to time.

I bought a couple of plastic tubs from wallmart for all my fixed blades which are stored in their sheaths. My folders are in a desk drawer (I only have about 10 of these)

I store all of my knives in large Spyderco SpyderPacs. They hold 30 knives each and are VERY durable. I'm up to 10 of them now.

I only have a few fixed blades displayed, for my folders they just go in a draw in a desk. I have thought about the Pelican case and I like that Idea, but I have also seen custom Nylon cases that I would like. http://www.chopsshop.com/the-chops-bag.html A little expensive, but worth it for most collections I would think. I have also thought about the maxpedition or Spyderco Spyderpac cases. I will most likely buy a small enough toolbox to go on top of a desk, bench top, or dresser.
