How do you store your knives?

I should say, planning and material hunting and gathering took about 2 weeks. Put it all together over the weekend. The finished product you see is literally still drying (wood glue and stain/sealant).
 
I store my bowie knife collection in individual vinyl cases, zippered with plush linings, in the safe with a goldenrod.
 
Unfortunately, I just keep them in a chest in the dining room. I pull them all out twice a year to wipe them down with mineral oil (or at least all the carbon steel ones). As an accumulator, I find myself with a hundred knives but I only ever use about 3 of them!
 
Cigar boxes. Get them free from a tobak shop selling cigars and pipes and pipe tobaks.
 
Pelican 1450 if I could go back I would have gotten the 1500 but either way I think it's the way to go.
 
I've got a metal tool box with several drawers that pull out. Thin foam padding at the bottom of each drawer. Works quite well.
 
what ever you do, don't use the colored rubber/vinyl mesh. the blue stuck to a mint camilllus mark2 leather handle. I was unimpressed. have had good luck with the white so far. has been several years now.
