You shouldnt have to worry about convexing or putting a micro bevel on while stropping. I used to do a lot of passes and put pressure on it, but I found that the sharpest edge comes from the lightest touch. Once I've worked up a burr on the stones skimming the strop very lightly is all thats needed to remove the burr. I find that if I over do it I just end up dulling the edge and loosing that hair whittling sharpness.
If your strop is a strap of leather suspended at 2 points light pressure is especially important so it doesnt wrap around the edge, if you use a thin piece of leather attached to a flat surface you can just lay the bevel flat like you normally would on the stones and do light passes leading with the spine. I alternate sides with each pass, and I'm pleased with the results, but like they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
