how do you use the flipper?

i know the standard method is to just press down with the tip of the index finger, but i actually prefer using the inside of the knuckle. anyone else have a somewhat different method they use?

The FINGER. I give my flippers the FINGER! Never tried the knuckle method, but seems sorta painful to me.

Those are basically the two ways of doing it. I personally prefer to use my finger rather than the knuckle, but a good friend of mine uses the knuckle. Either way works well, it just depends on your preferences.

The Spec Bump is especially easy to open the way you showed in the video.
I'll do it that way some of the time, depending on how I happen to be gripping it.

Ok, video explains it all. I really keep a tight pivot, I don't know why I'm just anal and have accepted it, and the knuckle would not work as well as my finger. It still is a rather neat way to engage the blade. Good video!

I use the knuckle as well, mainly because I'm missing a bit of my index finger from an accident (non knife related).
