How DO you use the tool that come with the Khukuri?

I've been stropping my IBBBB for the past hour on a 12x4in leather backed strop block with green bark river compound. It now has a hair splitting edge at the expense of Bawanna's bluing job.
 
Blued with a nice shiny shaving edge is perfectly acceptable. Actually no other option. You could touch it up with a bluing pen right on the edge if you feel the need.
