Last year, I was about 4 miles deep in the woods here in Central Florida checking my game cameras. It was starting to get dark by th time I made it to the last, and furthest, camera. I got off my Honda Rubicon 4 wheeler and walked about 80yds into thick brush. About the same time I finished swapping the SIM card the light rain turned into a driving rain. I made my way back across a small slough and to the 4wheeler. I got on the 4wheeler, turned the key, hit the start button and heard a click at the starter. By now the driving rain had become a horizontal rain driving in sheets and waves. It was starting to get darker now and I was starting to feel a chill. I squinted my eyes against the stinging droplets and reached down, cut the tab on the plastic starter shield to expose the starter and pounded on it with the pommel of my BK2 while hitting the start button. The 4wheeler fired up on the fourth try and I was heading back on a very long wet journey. Had I just had my skinning knife or pocket knife I may have had to spend the night and walk out in the morning. I never journey into the bush without a proper bush knife - thank you Becker.
