How does Blackjack Knives restock?

It's all been done before, there are so many patterns and models that have evolved, inspired from, copied whatever. Some maker's are just more classy about it and acknowledge the inspiration. I have both Randalls and Blackjacks...the former have symmetrical grinds and history, the latter cut better out of the box and have a nicer finish at half the price. Room for all. If you don't buy any copies you may just end up with only that 20k Scagel....James

Thanks James for your support.

I found it on YouTube. Honestly he keeps saying over and over “it’s just like a Randall”. Who is he trying to convince? Sounds like he is telling himself.

You can see in the video it’s not as nice as a Randall. The guard is not silver soldered.

AFAIK Blackjacks are stock removal Randall’s are forged.

Some say forging a knife into shape is far superior. Some say it makes no difference. Nobody says stock removal is better.

I’m sorry. A Randall model 1 is not that expensive. Why buy something that you have to say is just as good to convince yourself. It’s $450 knife not a $20,000 Rolex watch.

Here is another thread comparing them. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/randall-and-blackjack-1-7-observations.675436/

My opinion is that Blackjacks are more comparable to KA-BARS, but with a Randall shaped blade. With upgraded guard pommel and handle.

Everyone has to make their own decision
