How does HI measure blades?

On the website, how does HI measure blades. If it says a Sirupate is 20", is that overall or just the visible blade? Sure would help to know as I consider more purchases.

They are measured overall. My Gelbu Special listed as 15" and it has a 10.5" blade. My 17.5" CAK has about a 12.5" blade.

Yep, they are always measured overall. Too many variations on the blade and handle lengths to standardize it by those criteria.
