How does LA POLICE GEAR do it?

Howdy,

I've been lurking in here for a while, so I thought I'd jump in with a question based on my present knife search. I am shopping for a black Gerber LMF II. Every place online that I've visited sells it for $69.99-$99.99.

However!!!

lapolicegear.com has the Gerber LMF II for $59.99! And that is for the ASEK and non-ASEK versions!

So, what's their situation with this knife? Are they selling factory seconds? How can they be the ONLY place (as far as I can see) that sells these so cheap?

Even eBay does NOT have any listed (new) within $10 of lapolicegear.com!

I feel welcome already. My first post, and I'm accused of spaming... I didn't expect ar15.com-like nonsense from this place, honestly...

I am simply asking if anyone knows why lapolicegear has their price so low. Like some kind of shaddy reason or something like that? Are they a legitimate place to buy from? Are they selling hot items? Doesn't it seem weird that no other place has sucha low price for the Gerber?

If you didn't want to be accused of spamming, you might have asked about other people's experience with said company, and not included a specific price on a specific item. You certainly wouldn't have posted the price of that item, at that specific location (which you identified by web address), along with the price of that item at a popular auction site as a comparison. Also, editing ones first post looks somewhat shady as well.

I just purchased a LMF II from them and had great service. The knife is fine.

Welcome to the forums.

There are a lot of good people here and you can learn a lot.
