I was curious how one could get an "Orange Peel" like finish on Titanium(Like on the bolster of the BM 330)
My buddy has one of the Pinnacles and wants to put a better "grip" on it.
Anything he or I can do or do we need to send it out to be done?
TIA for any and all suggestions.

Roy

I'm not sure exactly what you want. but knid of remember what the 330 looks like so I'll make a few guesses.
To get the grippy feel, it needs to be bead blasted. Thats what leaves all the tiny little pits in the metal. Then to get that rainbow color effect , or any color, it has to be annodized. You can probably get better info on this over in the shoptalk forum.
Hope that helps

It'll feel better when it stops hurting.

Thanks for the tip, Matt.

I think I read in a AG Russell catelog that WR Clark gets that orange peel look with a special rag buffer wheel. If you know how to contact Bill Clark, he could tell ya'. Probably be at the Blade Show West next weekend.
