How would a stripped and polished B11 compare to a 1311 in chopping ?

Plus the B11 is INFI-- 'nuff said there.![]()
Faster swing recovery with the B11, more oomph with the 1311. End result is similar for me in terms of time and energy expended for work achieved on light brush. Plus the thicker tang of the B11 under the Resiprene seems easier on my palm. B11 is a whack-whack-whack rhythm. 1311 more like whack-swing-whack-swing-whack, with the "swing" being backswing. I thought the 1311 might displace my B11 because it's thinner and longer (and develops more momentum), so I thought it would "cut better", but as Cobalt says, the B11 is noticeably faster. And at a full .25" thick, it generates impressive force. I use both, but find I usually choose the B11.
In my experience, the 1311 chopped better and had less vibration when battoning.
But the B11 being INFI is more reliable, with a little less performance.
