How does the machax fare as a machete?

I agree Murphnuge. While it's a great chopper, up close to the handle is excellent for carving. You may have seen it before, but here is my thread, using only the Machax for prepping a friction fire hearth.

For those that haven't seen it before, this is a product review done by American Survival Guide way back when. It's what pushed me into buying one. You might have to use your zoom feature ......

Hmmmm, I might take a second look at the Machax after all. Got a Condor Parang today and I noticed the vibration right away. Took the Lansky kit out as it couldn't cut butter fresh out of the box.

I will 2nd this. You teen no real vibration at all during chopping. My chop time was only like 33 or 38 second(long for a chop) , but dude, no vibration at all!

Just so you know, you could send Condor an E-Mail asking for a replacement. I'm sure they'd be glad to replace it.
