How does the special order process work?

I have placed an order for a chiruwa YCS and am now just dreaming of it's arrival. Will I be notified before it ships? What are your experiences?
 
Nice choice! I'm quite sure Yangdu will contact you when it arrives but it is tempting to check in every week and a struggle not to do so.
 
It sure is tempting. I know she is busy and I am really not in a hurry. Just curious. I have been making a small dent by snatching a few DOTDs. Also purchased a couple of SteveTalls sheaths. I guess I will ponder my next purchase. Maybe a 20" CAK.
 
Yep, best way to pass the time is to buy more khuks. Put in a special order in mid September, bought five others and ordered one more special in the mean time.
 
You are going to love the YCS. Mine has become my favorite khuk. It is a machine that I prefer over my CAK and M-43 for serious chopping. Yangdu can let you know when it ships. Her customer service is outstanding.
 
That is exactly what I will have; CAK, M43, YCS all 18". Well I have other small ones,but look forward to using the 18"ers and doing a comparison.
 
Just received my 20" CAK -- it's ridiculously incredible! I'm still waiting on my 20" M43. The last khuk I want is an 18" chiruwa YCS, but with a slimmer handle. Then I think i'll be done....at least for a while. :D
