I've been looking for a decent camp knife for a while ( as opposed to tactical type). After getting my G-10 MT (which is absolutely great) I've realised this would be perfect with a few small changes. On Striders website I think they say to go through your local dealer, trouble is I don't have a reliable local dealer (concerning striders) yet. Do I just phone up Strider and ask them or will I have to go through lets say TAD?
The changes I would like are:
Remove the top guard.
Remove the index finger groove.
Shorten the blade by removing the choil ( I think its that bit. the bit of the blade that meets the handle but isn't part of the cutting edge.
Thin the blade to about 3/16in.
Am I just dreaming or could this be done?
