how does this picture make you feel

I wonder how this Hultafors is supposed to be used?

Or this Mora.

I wonder how this Hultafors is supposed to be used?

Indeed.

I wouldn't call hammering on a cheapo Hultafors or Mora knife designed to be a dispensable construction tool stupid, like some others have here - not referring to you, Shecky. Nor would I even call it dangerous. I can't speak for anyone else on this forum, but I can safely say that for me, and a lot of construction workers around here, it's not difficult at all to deliver hammer strikes to a small area such as the handle end of the knife, precisely, without striking your hand and hurting yourself. This stuff isn't difficult, it's easy. It's only dangerous for men with ten thumbs. :p Now, in a survival situation it would be stupid. But then again, do you often get into survival situations?

How does it make me feel??

Well........ It makes me feel like.................ARRRRRGHHH!:barf::barf:

I do that kind of stuff with my INFI all the time. It makes me think he should use a better knife.

It makes me think that there's an accident looking for a place to happen.

It makes me really curious as to how that turned out for whoever's hand that is.

I've seen worst.

In a casting shop, people using a go-no-go gage (300$) as a punch.

Maybe they just needed a punch that was machined to really tight tolerances...

Am I the only one who missed the knife in order to think, "Now, that is one ugly sweater!"

And then I thought, Cheap hammer, Cheap knife, Cheap sweater.

Man, I hope I didn't just insult somebody. Really sorry if that's your arm, but you asked.

In basic training Swedish Army recruits used to have to fell a tree with their Mora knives. They did this by pounding them in from one side and then the other. I guess these knives are well up that kind of abuse.
