How does this tickle your fancy?

1/4" thick !!!
I want one.

I'm not sure it's a general woods utility/bushcrafter, though. :)

Judging by my RC-4, I don't see how this can't handle any woods chores I would use it for. The 3 RC's I have came razor sharp and well balanced. I am expecting the same of this one.

I know its thick, but I kind of like that.:D

What do you think would be a problem for it?

Might give my RD-6 a run for it's money as my doomsday day-hiking knife. :) Actually, the RD replaced my RAT-5 when I got prybar sickness, but I much prefer the handle ergos on the RAT.

Cons (for me): No juicy finger choil, and the Cordura sheath with liner. Not deal-breakers, though. And the glass-breaker, but I have a bench grinder for that.

I handled it at Blade Show. I like the Rat4 better. Its lighter. That thing is a hog.

looks solid...the spiky butt doesn't do anything for me, but like was mentioned, it could be modded.

I also handled it at the Blade Show and it is way too thick. After speaking with Mike
from RAT, he said that they will eventually come out with a 5" blade knife with a full flat grind that will be thinner. I can't wait to get one to add to my collection of RAT knives.

Should they come out with a thinner version I wouldn't mind adding it to my collection. I live the looks and that size knife.

The problem I saw was that it was very thick, and the grind wasn't very wide. So that triangle is somewhat obtuse. But it felt good in the hand, and had that indestructable feeling, so I know it'll do well.
