How dull/dinged up can you stand your edge to be?

I'm usually satisfied with a working edge, but I do enjoy a freshly sharpened blade.
 
I have zero tolerance for edge imperfections. Just the IDEA of a ding in the edge of one of my knives will be enough to send me to the strop.

I have knives that are already hair popping sharp that i still find myself stropping.... i'm anal retentive about edges

If it's not perfect, it's wrong. There is no "good enough". There's only "perfect", and "needs fixing"
