How easy is it to swap scales on a Buck 300 series?

I've got two 310s because I really like redundancy, really (see what I did there?). The delrin scales give good grip but for some reason I don't like the look of them, although I know they're durable. So I'm wondering how hard a job it is to replace the scales with a colorful dyed bone or something. I figure I could get some colorful RRs to use as donors, because most of the dyed bone raw material I see doesn't look that great.

My aim is to get them looking something more like my Peanut, which is too stiff for me to use:

They are not easy to remove. Especially for a first time project. If you want to do one I'd get the Signature series model. As those are merely pinned, not pressed and melted into the handle. And can be removed easier. Then plug the holes and glue on new handles. Good luck, DM
