How expensive is too expensive to carry??

The cost of anything is relevant only to the use or enjoyment it brings to the owner.
To me the top for knives is $100. 00 for a folder and then only one or two. I get much
more fun buying for way less by buying used if need be. I get most of the use at way
less that full ticket price. It's really all in what you like and can pay for. As for me
they don't call me tightwad for nothing. And yes I've been called cheap a time or two.
Anyway it comes out I still wind up with money IN my pocket when it's all done.

I didn't read all of the the replies... but if you can't afford to buy it, you can't afford to use it. Do not but any thing you don't want to use. The collectability of it may not be what you paid for it. But it because you want it, not because you cant afford to use it. Unless it costs thousands of $ don't be afraid of using it.

I now own two Sebenzas, and a WH and a couple other knives. I know you guys are going to think I'm nuts, but; I think the utility on most of my cheaper knives is BETTER that the more expensive ones.
Many of you may not agree, but to me, the ability to close a knife is as important the ability to open a knife. A Sebenza can and will close one handed, but not nearly as easily as an axis lock.
Also, because I am able to purchase many more "cheaper" knives, I have been able to experiment and determine which ones I really like to use and carry, whereas my selection of expensive knives is much more limited.
