How far away to stand?

I have been throwing knives for many years and have tried all types of knives including all of the Cold Steel knives. My favourites are the largest of the range.

I have a good friend who lives near me in Leeds who I throw with now and then. He has his own web site that some of you might find interesting. :)

Great Web-Site Ken & Thank's for the link, I have a Freind and he's a Vietnam Vet, He use's a Bayonet the one that fit's the M-16 and he Is 100% at 15 Feet he dont miss and that Bayonet stick's with some "Real Power" has anyone else ever used the M-16 Bayonet as a Throwing Knife ? Lot's of Good Info here !

I'm lucky to stick a knife much more than 50 or 60% of the time and I'm speaking from hazy memory so take it for what its worth. Back before the new, kinder, gentler Guiness Book of World Records, when they kept track of such things, they had a listing for the longest confirmed throw on a live target. According to them, it was in Vietnam, with a bayonet of some kind, at a distance of either 76 feet or yards. I'm thinking it was feet.
 
dang thats an amazing throw i wish i could throw at that distance
and in nam that makes it even more amazing
