How good is the American Lawman?

What are the pros and cons of hollow grind vs. full flat grind? Which cuts through meat and vegetables more efficiently?

In a pocket knife a hollow grind will slice (not necessarily cut) any medium easier. Kitchen knives are often flat ground but taller and so still achieve a very thin behind the edge profile. Flat grinds are more robust but will get thicker behind the edge faster after sharpening (many sharpenings) and metal is removed. Both grinds are excellent for folders in my opinion. Which shows up on any particular knife is usually more about what the knife was designed for. The Lawman, like a lot of Cold Steel knives is designed to be rugged, so the flat grind makes sense.
