How hard is it to have a special request on a Mid-Tech LLC knife?

I kinda wanted the Urban Raven, but I didn't like the look of the guard at the spine. I wonder how hard is it to get one with the guard on the spine side removed...

Scope out the Kootenai. It is rumored to be available in February. If you go to the Simonich website there is a picture of one.
