I like the respect I get from people who are impressed with the work that I create, and for the sharpening services I can provide. Most people can't sharpen worth a darn, and are facinated when they watch me sharpen their blades.

Then there are the practical aspects of having a knifeshop, with the many tools I can fabricate many things that couldn't or wouldn't be possible
