I'm still deciding whether or not to buy a Delica and wanted to get some feedback from the owners and users. How do you like the knife?
Has it met your expectations?

The delica was my first spyderco and is still my most carried knife. I prefer the size over my pm2, or endura for most my daily tasks and the ffg vg10 gets razor sharp and holds the edge well. One day soon I'm going to pick up a ukpk and see how I like the bd1 steel as that I also really like the spyderco slipjoints I own.

It's a great knife for the price and the perfect size for 99% of daily tasks. The Delica is my most carried knife.

The delica is a great edc knife! I have had mine for about 2 years and I couldn't be happier with it. If you are on the fence, get it you wont be sorry!

I truly love the Delica in every way. Like others have said if your on the fence just buy one. You will thank us later.

Most ergonomic knife I've ever bought. Eventually I sold it. So dumb. But I made up for it. Just ordered another one!

Delica is a very good EDC knife. I use my Delica aogamy super blue frequently, my husband use his ZDP-189 daily.

to BladeBug: UKPK is one of my favorite Spyderco's knives. I do not cut 100 pieces of paper or cardboard in a row, so normal every day use I do not see big difference in performance of BD1 compare to aogami , VG10 or ZDP-189. to me BD1 perform good for every day use. UKPK is very comfortable shape for me ( stretch is similar form but too big for my hands). given price of 47$ you will not regret bying UKPK.

My most frequently used Spyderco:
-Junior -VG10 - out of work and Ladybug ZDP-189 at work ( nicely fit small right front pocket)
-UKPK BD1
-delica aogami

How does it feel as a whole? One forum member stated that the Delica felt like a toy compared to the PM2. Thoughts?

Delica 4 ffg is awesome. I've had a few of them, different steels, colors. Great size and weight. Nothing but good things to say In my opion.

Two different types of knives. The PM2 is over an oz heavier and an extra 1/2" in blade length. The Delica is very light, 2.5 oz for an almost 3" blade. For me, part of the Delicas appeal is that light weight.

I had a ZDP 189 Delica for several years. Great combination of features and price, but the Para 2 replaced it as my main EDC. Now I'm looking for a smaller overall package again and the Delica is high on my list. I'm also looking at the Manix 2 Lightweight because I prefer the lock, but it's a little bigger to carry than the Delica.

It's light and made of FRN and lighter and thinner, so it can like a toy compared to PM2. But when you use now it's cuts fine. It doesn't feel like its weak or incapable.

Full disclosure: I was not a Spyderco fanboy. At all. Then I met my girlfriend, who carries a Delica at work. She's a veterinary technician at a horse hospital, so she's always using it. She was rather smug about it, actually. We met in part because we both like knives (yeah, I know--she's a keeper). I still have the email where I demaded that she repent of her Spyderco. :)

She never did. When I sharpened it for her (because she doesn't sharpen) I found that the Delica blade was actually very high quality. She started with a VG-10, and I fell in love with VG-10. Really a nice steel! Then I boughter her a Delica in ZDP. She loved it! Then a Dragonfly Tattoo and a titanium framed Delica, etc. I can't say I never looked back, because sometimes I wonder what in the world came over me. Now, I have a dressy Endura, a Centofante Memory, a couple of Ladybugs, and a fancy Dragonfly of my own, plus a Pacific Salt, a Matriarch, and a Tasman Salt (looking for that ultimate serrated hawkbill, you know).

In all of this, after a year of playing with her knives, I have found that the Delica really is a magnificent EDC knife. As they say, everything you need in a knife and nothing you don't. Perfect. I would put it up against almost any other knife I own, and I own some expensive knives. It really is that good.

Delica is one of my favorite knives that i own. Peefect size/weight/length. Good steel. Easy to sharpen. Takes care of all my cutting needs. Just a basic knife that not too many others can beat for the price.

This knife is excellent. I love mine. I have 7.

My EDC delica gets heaps more use and its the least expensive of all of my EDC's...

I have been carrying my stainless delica pretty frequently. I love it w my lanyard tip up carry. Lost a brand new frn delica at work a few months ago.
