How have you modified your Becker?

I'm somewhat new to the Becker line of products (and this forum), but I've heard that a lot of people modify their Becker knives (like different handles). What do you do to personalize your Becker?

To give you a little background, I just pulled the trigger on my first official Becker, a BK7, and I am really eager to find new ways to personalize it. I am practically brand new to this forum, and I'm sure there have been other posts with this question, but I was still curious to see what would show up!

You can find some cool stuff googling BK7 mods and youtubing BK7 mods. Not being a smart ass, I found some sweet videos and how-to videos of modding different beckers. Theres some really cool stuff out there as well as on here! Welcome to the becker family.

I liked my BK7 just fine the way it came; the closest thing to a modification I have done is some light sanding...after the coating was well worn and a bit of rust appeared. I didn't even strip the last of the coating off.
I have done blade mods to a few BK16s, and made some improvements to a couple of BK11s, though; as well as stripping various models and/or swapping scales.

Thank you so much, Collin! I will definitely keep digging for pictures and videos!

I just started making carbon fiber scales for the Becker. I love the 3-D look of the carbon fiber material.

For one thing, I love this rotating picture idea... I do have two questions about that knife thought. First, like 91bravo said, how do you manage to hold your handle together?! Second, how slippery is that handle? The carbon fibre is an excellent idea, but it seems like it would be slicker than the average handle.

I have figured out a way to embed stainless steel nuts inside the grip below the outside layer of carbon fiber. I surround them with a bunch of shredded carbon fiber and Spectra fabric to absolutely lock them in place. The factory screws work perfectly still.
They are shiny, which is necessary to really see the beauty of the carbon fiber, but they still have some light texture. Nevertheless, I never felt any problem with gripping a smooth grip. All my handguns have similar polished grips. I think it's sort of the way bare skin sticks to vinyl furniture or the way a gecko can climb up a mirror.
Oh, and the animation is about the only way I could figure to even come close to showing the way the light plays off the carbon.

Salute to you! That is possibly one of the coolest knife handles I have ever seen.
