How hot is it where you are?

50 F and a light rain...deepening to a heavy rain later tonight. Been windy for the past few days, too. It's high color season for the local vegetation -- at least until the rains beat the leaves off.

Looks like we can look forward to a colder than normal Fall here in Virginny.

But I like it cool.

At 6:00 AM it was 22°F (-5°C). It probably 50°F by now. It didn't get anywhere near as ugly as it did in Raton, where BobW's at.

It was about 80F when I had lunch in Dallas yesterday. I had to take a late flight to Colorado Springs to wait for a blizzard to subside. I couldn't drive home from the airport since the snow on my street was too deep. At lunch today it was about 50F. Any place that had been plowed or swept was free of snow. I walked to a restaurant in an unbuttoned denim windbreaker. With the thin dry air up here "air temperature" is sort of a theoretical concept. There just isn't much heat capacity in the air. If you stand in the sun you are warm. They have the heater in my building set too high for my liking. I'm sitting with a table fan blowing on my shoulder right now. I love being in Colorado. I hate the heat.

Here in Sacramento, CA it's been 78F to 80F, 25C to 26C, in the day and about 45F, 7C, at night. It's fantastic, with no humidity and clear blue skies. The leaves have been turning for about a week or two.

Below freezing this morning here in NY's Mid-Hudson area, but reached around 55F (12.8C) at mid day. Had to scrape a good layer of frost off the windshield this morning, but this is the first really cold one we've had. Fall is a fine time of year here.

7'C = 44'F outside the window where I am typing. Windy and damp, all the leaves yellow on the trees fluttering down and carpeting the ground.

About 25 deg C in the South of West Oz. On the other hand I was up in Karratha in our north last week and it was 42 deg C one day when I was in the open, clambering over a power station. Camelbacks are a lifesaver in that kind of heat - keeping the water up makes it far more tolerable. All my recent trekking has served me well also, much fitter and more heat tolerant.

Santa Ana wind conditions here in coastal L.A. county. It was in the low eighties which is nice but I keep picking up static shocks from everything I touch. Santa Anas are a pain in the rear.

It's currently 31F/-1C, with the wind taking it to 25F/-6C. It'll warm up to the low-60's this afternoon, though. I'm enjoying this fall season :)

+6 degrees.
Went fishing yesterday. My eyelets iced up so bad I could not cast.Got some Stanleysice off paste for my eyelets and todays foray down to the Clark fork:D

So nice outside right now , light rain and about 60' , air is nice and fresh and I dont have to water my plants for a while :D
