I spent an exhausting amount of time this AM in the search area. Several times I have seen reference to Snap tempering, but did not see a temperature for it.

Now this is from the same people/person who say that hand warm is not a temperature.
So how hot is snap?
Is 212 F hot enough to effectively snap temper? My thought is to put my blades in to boiling water with detergent after I have brought them down to 140 t 160 f range. Then they would go to the cryo tank. and then to a 400 tempering cycle.
